M.W. National Grand Lodge

Proud to Be A Compact Mason!!!

M.W. National Grand Master

Hon. Clyde Shepard, 33°

Greetings!!!

In the name of the Grand Architect of the Universe, for it is by His grace that I have been selected as the Twenty-Second (22nd) National Grand Master for the Most Worshipful National Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Ancient York Masons, Prince Hall Origin – National Grand Lodge, USA. With our rich lineage to African Lodge #459, I am humbled to have such an opportunity. I give honor to the Father of African American Masonry, our Brother Prince Hall who made it possible for us to enjoy the privileges of the Royal Craft.

First, I personally give thanks to PNGM Hon. Felton N. Ferguson for giving me the opportunity to share my views and ideas during his administration. He allowed me to take an active role in many decisions and business of this National Grand Lodge. I have learned much from him and I will be the same champion as he has been for this great fraternity.

My theme for the ensuing years is: “Enhancing our Masonic Structure for a Solid Foundation in the Future”. I will focus on five areas that I know are essential to the Strategic Plan for the National Grand Lodge. They are as follows: Financial, Management, Membership, Leadership Development, and Public Awareness/Community Involvement. The foundation has been laid by our founding fathers, and it is now time for us to use those working tools to solidify the National Grand Lodge as a pillar of the strength for the future.

As we revisit our foundation, I ask that you keep this National Grand

Lodge and National Cabinet in your daily devotion, because only by your prayers, and the grace and mercy of GAOTU can we achieve the task we are undertaking. The journey may not always be easy. There will be some hills to climb, and some rough and rugged roads to travel. But I am comforted by  the old hymn, The Solid Rock, which states;

My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;

When darkness seems to hide his face, I rest on his unchanging grace;

His oath, His covenant, His blood, Support me in the whelming flood;

When he shall come with trumpet sound, Oh, may I then in Him be found;

I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the vale.

When all around my soul give way, He then is my hope and stay

Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ, the solid rock, I stand all other ground is sinking sand

God Bless This National Grand Lodge!!!

In Service, I AM
